About Me/Us

Hi! I'm Leslie and I'm the owner of Heat Bakery! I created this small batch, home-based, all inclusive bakery back in 2017 and have worked hard to build it from scratch (pun intended). Based in both the Austin area and my hometown of El Paso, TX, my bakery is centered around comfort food culture and making giant bakery style cookies and brownies. I try my best to create indulgent treats for everyone! With my unpaid employee, I mean, my supportive husband by my side, we are a team in creating this cookie experience. Together we have 4 kids, 4 dogs and live in constant chaos. I'm human, I make mistakes, I say bad words, I make delicious desserts and always strive for quality and friendly connections. Cookies make me happy and I want to share that with the world!!!

What makes Heat Bakery special? Offering a pay-what-you-can service is pretty rare these days but I believe in the take a penny, leave a penny idea. One day we can afford something and the next day we can't so if you need a free cookie, that's what I'm here for.

Our motto? Delicious Fucking Cookies (I didn't come up with it, my customers did!)
